photographed in Berlin by Rafał Korzeniowski

About workshop:

This workshop is not only about technique but also about discovering how dance and photography meet to create something larger than either discipline alone. Through collaborative practice, you will explore the emotional and visual power of bodies in relation — to each other, to space, and to you as the observer.

Photographer Rafał Korzeniowski and choreographer Alejandro Lariguet, together with dancers of Aerial Dance Berlin, will co-lead the workshop.

What to Expect:

Over the course of the workshop, you’ll have multiple hands-on opportunities to photograph professional dancers in motion, focusing on the dynamic interplay of movement, abstraction, the human form, and fine details. You will receive expert guidance on:

  • Capturing dynamic movement and fleeting moments.

  • Understanding composition and visual storytelling in motion photography.

  • Build Confidence: Enhance your ability to creatively and thoughtfully photograph bodies in action.

  • Learning to collaborate with dancers and communicate effectively with performing artists.

  • Exploring the theme of togetherness and closeness, both conceptually and visually.
